240 days…

This is A) the number of days until my wedding!! and B) the number of days until I can buy Starbucks again.  I’ve decided to go into ultra-saving mode to prepare for the big day (and the big cost) by cutting out those pricey extras that I really just don’t need.  And sorry my good buddies at Starbucks, but I had to give you the ax.  At first I was afraid I couldn’t do it, but with cream as amazing as the new International Delights flavors, I think I’ll be ok…

Haven’t posted in awhile…

I’ve been drowning in wedding planning, so I’ve been a bit MIA from the blog world.  We’ve made quite a bit of progress in 2 short weeks though, and my initial fear of planning a wedding has turned into pure, unadulterated excitement.  Our venue has been officially booked and the date is set.  I have three photographer meetings this week and my first appointment to find my wedding dress is scheduled for the end of this month.  The biggest challenges left on my plate for the immediate future are finding a DJ and picking my wedding colors.  I have about 5 different color palettes I am deciding between, so we’ll see what we end up with.  So excited!!!!!

It’s Official

Well, it looks like we’re officially going through with this wedding thing (goodbye coconut wishes and palm tree dreams).  My hot computer nerd and I have a meeting set up to go sign the paperwork this Saturday.  Since we waited so long to plan, however, I now have 250 days to pull this altoghether.  Time to start mainlining lattes and pixie sticks (that’s a secret I learned from Toddlers and Tiaras.  What?)

Today’s agenda: 5 venues in 8 hours. 4 down, 1 to go. Ryan’s being a real trooper. Maybe I’ll get him a balloon.
